New Year in Kona

The new year 2020 has already used up one month. Fishing continues to be steady with our beautiful striped marlin and spearfish cooperating. On the Kohala Coast the humpback whales are abundant and putting on their show for all to see. It won’t be long and they will be migrating north to the coastal waters of Alaska. What an extraordinary journey for the giants of the sea. Their new born babies will be making their first of many treks across the Pacific. Our fishing fleet of Mauna Kea and Mauna Loa are in great shape sporting new carpet in the Mauna Kea as well as a new fighting chair. Kona waters have been normal for the winter with light swells most days. As always we are spoiled by our fishing conditions. We look forward to a great year. Happy New Year to all!!!
