Though practicing Catch & Release with Marlin, the Mauna Loa is one of the few fishing vessels in Kona that allows you to KEEP YOUR CATCH, That’s right, they do not sell fish. So any Ahi (Tuna), Mahimahi (Dorado), or Ono (Wahoo) caught are filleted, bagged, and iced, and sent back with you, to enjoy fresh island fish during your vacation!

Families with kids of all ages are welcome.

Departure times are super flexible on the Mauna Loa, as not everyone is an “Early Riser” So we can give them some credit for that.
